DIY: How to Make Paper Roses
These paper roses are super easy to make and can add a special decorative touch to any corner of the house, centerpiece or celebration. In this case I made them black for a spooky Halloween decoration.
What you need:
- Wooden skewers
- Crepe paper (in this case black)
- Glue
- Scissors
Instructions:
1) Cut the petals. You can use whatever number you want, but I usually use about 15. Carefully stretch the top of the petals, one by one, with your fingers. This way you can bend the top a little and give the flower a much more realistic appearance. Then cover the skewer with crepe paper, leaving 1 cm of the top uncovered, to easily insert the flower.
2) To make the center of the flower, you will need a longer petal, fold the top and then roll it up. Then place it on the uncovered part of the skewer and glue them together. Over this center, we will start pasting and overlaying the petals one by one.
3) Finally, with a small strip of the crèpe paper, we cover the base of the flower, to secure it to the skewer. ¡And you´re done!
