Mini-Gift Idea: Candy Box
Christmas is here! Soon the children finish school, and we are already running to prepare the Christmas shopping, organizing meals and dinners, family reunions, decorating our home for the season … I love it!
Truthfully, the month of December implies a major expense, no matter how much we advance the Christmas purchases. Even if we take advantage of the sales some stores offer, like on Black Friday or Cyber Monday, in the end we have many expenses.
Today I bring you a mini gift idea that we can make for our kids teachers, to give to the hosts at a dinner party, and even for those people who we never know what to get. And best of all: super cheap.
I am preparing them for my children´s teachers, who are 7 in total. I like to give them a little something, since they dedicate a lot of affection and attention to my kids throughout the year (I even think they spend more time with them than I do). I think showing them our appreciation is important, and everyone likes to get a gift, right?
Materials
- Chocolates or Christmas sweets (whichever ones you want, there are different qualities and prices, but it is better if they are wrapped individually)
- Container, in this case it´s a cardboard Christmas, but you can use this idea any other time of the year, using a different type of container
- Cellophane
- Ribbon
- Tags
Preparation
Simply fill the container with the chocolates and sweets, and then wrap with the cellophane paper. We can put on the box lid, so you cannot see what´s inside, or put the lid under the box to see the contents. Finally, attach a pretty tag with a ribbon, bow or string.
It is a very simple, but pretty, gift idea and you can adapt it to the person who is going to receive it. If you want it to be more elegant you can use a glass vase, but you can also use something like a pot, a brass box, a wicker basket, a mug… There are infinite possibilities! It can even be used as a gift for guests at an event, in small containers like a pretty glass sling, for example.
